Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American model, host of a TV show and comedian. The year 2012 was the year that Angelica Hale was just 4 years old she became very sick due to double pneumonia. This was due to an aggressive strep pneumococcal bacterial infection. She desperately needed urgent medical attention and was placed on ECMO Life-support in Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. She developed multiple organ failures and kidneys that were not able to fully recover. Her condition forced her to alter her lifestyle around hemodialysis as well as peritoneal dialysate. After nearly 80 days in hospital, from near-death to long road to recovery, she finally returned home, but her life was forever changed. Angelica endured dialysis treatments for over a decade half before she could undergo her kidney transplant. She would receive the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica together with her mother, went through an organ transplant successfully on the 13th of September, 2013 at two fantastic hospitals located right next to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star ever since.
